We are proud to announce that Ms. Shahrezad Ghayrat was one of the key speakers at today’s Welcome to Australia ‘Walk Together 2017’. Shahrezad told her story as a Uyghur Asylum Seeker who, through her mother’s sacrifices was brought to Australia, along with her sister, six years ago. It was a poignant and inspirational speech.

Shahrezad, you’ve come a long way. You are a credit to your people, to your newly adopted country, and to SIA.
