Media Archive
About This Archive
Over nearly 25 years since the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001, Dr John Bruni has established a sustained media presence across Australia and internationally, undertaking more than 1,000 documented radio, television, print and online media appearances. His commentary has covered defence, national security, international relations, geopolitics, intelligence and strategic risk, making him one of Australia’s longest-serving independent strategic commentators.
In September 2005, Dr Bruni was contracted as a columnist for Adelaide’s Sunday Mail. From March 2006, he co-hosted Back Story, a weekly current affairs programme on Radio Adelaide. In 2021, he subsequently hosted The Focus on Radio Adelaide, a current affairs programme that later evolved into today’s The Focus Podcast, produced by SAGE International Australia.
This archive provides a representative record of Dr Bruni’s media appearances, interviews and public commentary. While every effort has been made to preserve historical material, the archive is not exhaustive and does not include all media appearances since 2001. Some earlier interviews, broadcasts and publications are no longer available online or were not retained by their original hosts.
The archive will continue to be updated as additional historical material is recovered and as new appearances are added.
