The Yemen Jigsaw Puzzle feat. Hisham Al-Omeisy

In this episode, we focus on Yemen's failed state. Joining John is returning guest, Hisham Al-Omeisy. Hisham was captured and detained by the Houthis. He spent five and a half months in captivity in one of the worst prisons in Yemen, a prison designed to break its inmates, if not end them. As a Yemeni, Hisham now works for the European Institute of Peace. He has special insights into the inner workings and dysfunctions of Sana'a and what sparked the current Red Sea Crisis, and yes, it's different from what you read in the mainstream news. It's far more complicated. If you want to know something about Yemen that you might not have known before, I encourage you to watch this podcast.
