On the evening of the 26th of March, SAGE International’s (and the University of Adelaide’s) Emeritus Prof. Purnendra Jain was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon for his services to Japan Studies.

The award was presented to him by the Consul-General of Japan (Melbourne) Mr. Junji Shimada.

We at SAGE are extremely proud of Prof. Jain’s well-deserved recognition by the government of Japan and for having been bestowed this distinguished honour.
